This Los Angeles home addition and complete remodel began with a single goal: more room to gather, with no loss of the home's original character. We expanded the kitchen footprint, added a primary suite over the garage, and rebuilt the back of the house in steel and glass.

The new kitchen anchors the home. A 14-foot island of honed marble carries the eye toward the garden. Custom oak cabinetry, brass hardware, and integrated appliances keep the room calm despite its size.

Upstairs, the new primary suite is quiet and restrained — limewashed walls, oak floors, a soaking tub set against a window into the tree canopy. It feels like an addition that has always been there.
